Everpure Filters for Our Schools

A recent article on Cnn.com asked the ever-important question, "Where's the water for schoolchildren?" Sadly, they couldn't find the answer. We always talk about how adults need 6-8 glasses of water a day, but sometimes we forget that our children need just as much too. At one school, a young boy is only offered juice or milk with his lunch. If he wants free water, he has to wait in line with dozens of other students to use the water fountain. To make matters worse, cups are not even provided.

Michelle Obama's "Let's Move!" legislation states that clean water must be easily accessible for children. However, it is not clear how schools will do this. Most schools do not have enough water fountains to accommodate larger schools and the water in there is quite questionable. The easy solution? Schools should invest in Everpure water filtration systems. It may seem costly at first with all the budget cuts, but it's a simple and easy solution. Kids can also be encouraged to bring in a re-usable water bottles or a thermos so the school doesn't have to pay for cups too.

With clean water from an Everpure water filter, kids will be more willing to choose crisp and refreshing water over sugary beverages.
