Private Water Wells May Not Always Be Safe

On the face of it, being a private well owner seems like a safe way to control the water that you and your family drink, cook with and bath in. However, it is beginning to appear like this self sufficient solution could be even more susceptible to getting toxins and other unwanted chemicals than publicly supported and regulated water supplies. Recently there was discovery of naturally occurring arsenic and uranium in several drinking wells in and around central Massachusetts.

This is troubling and just another reason why no matter where your water comes from you should be running it through an Everpure Water Filter, an Oasis Dispenser, or another accredited water filtration system. We are all very aware of how easily our publicly dispensed water can be tampered with. We also know how many horrible toxins occur naturally in our water supply. These problems are even more apparent in self run drinking wells. so if you are currently drinking out of a privately owned well you owe it to your family and yourself to begin filtering that water.

Federal guidelines for arsenic and uranium in potable water have been set to ensure our safety. Knowing that safety has been compromised is scary and we must be vigilante in protecting the water that we drink every day. Our safety and health are counting on it.
