A Look Inside Water Filters

Water filters are one of the wonders of the home appliance business.  While tap water is genuinely clean and drinkable, there is something about it that just is not quite right about how it tastes.  Most likely, you can taste the chlorine that was used to help clean it out.  Besides the chlorine, there are sometimes other particles or chemicals still in the tap water that was left after the cleaning process.  For this reason alone people choose to install an Everpure filter and the like into their water system.  But what goes on inside a water filter; how does it clean water and make it drinkable?  Read on to find out.

Many filters use a medium that captures, absorbs, or changes the pollutants in the water that passes through it.  Different filters use different methods to clean out the water.  There are several kinds of filters: activated carbon, sediment, reverse osmosis, and ceramic filters.
  • Activated carbon filters use organic materials like coal and wood to capture contaminants as the water passes through it.
  • Sediment filters use a fine sieve that reduces the amount of dirt and other particles in the water.
  • Reverse osmosis filters work by allowing water molecules to pass through an ultra-thin membrane that captures the larger particulate matter.  This is sometimes used in conjunction with activated carbon filters.
  • Ceramic filters are great in cleaning out water of sediments and harmful bacteria.  They can also be easily cleaned by simply taking out the ceramic piece and taking a soft brush to it.

Drinking Clean Water Benefits You

Clean drinking water is a necessity that everyone on the planet has to have on a regular basis. It has been said that most people could not live more than a couple of days without it and it makes sense considering most of our bodies – about 60% - is made up of water. But most people know this already; what are some of the unknown or unrecognized benefits that drinking clean water has? Read on to find out:
·    Water helps flush out waste from our bodies.
·    Nutrients are transported throughout our bodies with the aid of water.
·    Water regulates our bodily fluid which is important in our day-to-day lives.
·    It prevents dehydration and the problems that come with it: depression, high blood pressure, loss of energy, fatigue, headaches, etc.
·    During summer, drinking a lot of water can help cool you down.
·    Water helps your kidneys work for you.
·    Proper hydration helps lock in moisture in your skin which can help prevent dry skin.
·    Rehydrating with water is also essential for those who exercise or participate in sports due to the amount of liquid lost through perspiration.
These are but a few but important reasons why drinking water is vital to your life.  So be sure to use Aqua Pure filter as often as you can.

The Impurities in Your Water

There's a lot of talk about impurities and nasty germs in tap water. But what exactly is in tap water? Why do you need to make the switch to clean, crisp filtered water? A visit to the website of the EPA can show you a long, and very scary, list of all the potential stuff floating in your water. Of course, this doesn't mean that every single microorganism listed is automatically in your water. It simply means these are possibilities. But do you really want to take the risk?

The three most common bacteria that can appear include giardia, beryllium, and cryptosporidium. Giardia and cryptosporidium are both microorganisms found in human and animal waste. Long-term exposure to them can lead to gastrointestinal illness --not very pleasant. Beryllium is an inorganic chemical  found in metal refinery discharge. Intestinal lesions are the product of long-term exposure. Fluoride is an additive to tap water across the entire country. Although it helps build strong teeth, there are actually adverse effects over a long period of time. It can actually lead to bone disease.

These are but just a few contaminants in tap water. One should invest in an Oasis water dispenser or the like to prevent potential illness.

Commercial Grade Water Filtration in Your Home

For about seventy years or so, commercial kitchens like those found in restaurants and in catering kitchens have used water filtration systems like Claris and Cuno to make their water cleaner and clearer helping them to demonstrate just what clean water can do for food and beverages that are made with it. Choosing Filtered Water

How is it easy to come to the conclusion that filtered water is better than tap water?  Well, the taste alone should be the most obvious way to come to that conclusion.  Water should not taste like anything at all; it is water after all.  But somehow you can taste the chlorine that usually comes with water that comes straight from your house's tap system.  For most people it is just the way things are so they shrug their shoulders and live with it.  Thankfully, that is not the only option.  Filtered water is available with the right filtration equipment attached to your home's tap system.

Besides tap water, filtered water also beats out bottled water because by installing a filtration system into your house you will avoid spending a lot of money on a weekly or semi-weekly basis buying economy packages of bottled water.  Considering the origin of the water in bottled water is questionable at best, you can at least rest assure that the filtered water from your tap is as clean as possible.  Clean, as well as great-tasting thanks to the filter.

Before buying your next batch of bottled water or turning on your faucet, consider buying a water filter for your home.

Cuno Filters Improve the Home

When most people hear the words "home improvement" they automatically think of painting the walls and ceilings; remodeling each room or placing new wood floors; choosing carpets and placing them in rooms and so on. Most people do not think about installing Cuno water filters as a way to improve the home but it definitely is!

Cuno water filters allows homeowners to drink water that actually tastes good.  Tap water, for the most part, tastes like the chemicals that were used to help clean it for public consumption.  This is kind of a strange thing to write considering water is not supposed to taste like anything at all.  Typically, this is the chemical chlorine. You might also have to contend with the fact that the water may actually smell like chlorine as well. That is not something to look forward to.

Another problem associated with tap water is that sometimes when you fill a glass up with the stuff, the water might be cloudy. The dusty water is mostly minerals that settled into the water before the faucet was turned on. The excess minerals are not harmful but it is very unsightly and gives tap water a almost indescribable strange taste to it that is far from pleasant.

Want a very practical way to improve your home?  Install a water filter onto your system.

Opting for an Oasis Water Dispenser

At the same time my office was getting its new water cooler, I also got my own water cooler for home use.  i ordered mine at about the same time as the office did; we had ordered the Oasis water dispenser.

Since we were moving into a new office space we decided to ditch the old water dispenser for a brand new model and someone - I think it was the CEO - suggested we go with the Oasis water dispenser.  When he brought that up the light bulb flashed in my mind: I should get my own water dispenser.  And what is more, I should get that very same model.

I absolutely cannot stand tap water.  I am very much aware that it is clean and more than drinkable and I do use it to cook and clean, but drinking it is another story entirely.  The chlorine taste I find extremely revolting.  If push came to shove, yes, I could and would drink tap water.  But since I am not forced to drink tap water - thankfully - my new water dispenser will see heavy use for a long time to come.

If you are looking for another option for clean water that is not tap, look to this water dispenser.

Don't Drink Tap When You Have an Oasis Water Dispenser

It makes no sense to me why anyone would want to drink regular tap water when things like the Oasis water cooler exists.  From personal experience tap water has never ever tasted anywhere near as good with its strong chlorine taste and odor.  There have even been time where the water has come out foggy which is an obvious no-go for me.  Or anyone else for that matter.  I've talked to people about these problems and almost all of them have said I should just turn the faucet on for a couple of seconds prior to drinking it.  I was taken aback by this because this method sounds like a complete waste of water.  I would have to do this every single time I drink water from the tap?  No thank you.

Having a water cooler or attaching an Aqua Pure filter to my tap water line is the only way to drink water as far as I am concerned.  Tap water is just way too disgusting for me to even consider drinking.  I would use it to boil food, wash produce and the like, and shower in but that is definitely about it.  With all of this in mind, consider skipping tap water.

Relying On Max Pro

Did you know you have ready access to drinkable water on a daily basis?  All you have to do is open up your kitchen faucet.  Easy, right?  That said however, does that water taste good?  I honestly doubt you can say it does.  Tap water goes through a series of filtration and chemical processes so that people can drink it without becoming ill.  So when you drink the water that comes out of your tap system odds are you will be able to taste the chlorine in it.  If you are lucky, you only get a slight taste of it.  If not, well it is unpleasant to say the least.  And then there is the possibility of odor coming from the water.  But water is not supposed to have any odor to it at all, right?  That is right.  This is where Max Pro filters come in.

A Max Pro filter can be fitted to either plastic or copper tubing which makes it very versatile.  This filter allows you to get rid of strange tastes and odors that might be associated with your tap water and can last you up to six months.

If you are looking to drink clean, great-tasting water then look to adding a filter to your water system.

How Often Do I Use My Oasis Water Dispenser?

The fact is I use my Oasis water dispenser a lot.  I use it multiple times each and every day.  Water is all I drink so this makes a whole lot of sense.  I do not drink soda at all.  The only times I ever have soft drinks in my fridge is when I plan to have a bunch of guests over for a party or something like that.  It is hard for me to fathom not having a water dispenser around because of my personal choice to drink nothing else but water.

Besides simply filling glasses of water and drinking whenever I please, I also use my Oasis water dispenser to refill the empty bottles of water I sometimes have lying around the house.  This saves me a ton of money on buying water bottles on a daily basis or buying them in bulk.  I can just buy a single water bottle and then refill it as much as I want.  I can even buy those reusable bottles and fill those at will.

With a water dispenser in my house I do not have to deal with spending a couple of dollars every day to drink clean, refreshing water.  All I have to do is refill my old bottles!

Making Full Use of Our Oasis Water Cooler

So guess what we just had delivered to our door?  The Oasis water cooler we had ordered some time back.  It did not take much time to install the dispenser and the water jug.  We plugged it in to let it get cold and in no time we were able to drink some cool, great tasting water.  Another awesome feature of our new water cooler is that it has a small fridge attached to the side of it.  We bought this specific water cooler because we needed the extra space the refrigerator attachment afforded us.

We had a minor debate about what we should move from the old fridge to the small one.  After some time we decided we would try to store most of our beverages in there.  We put about 20 cans of soda, beer, and a few liters of bottled drinks in the the fridge attachment of the Oasis water cooler.  The fridge can cool to 39 degrees Fahrenheit which is perfect for us!

Our new water cooler is a very neat piece of machinery.  I love that it doubles as both a water dispenser and a second fridge.  That extra space gives us a lot to work with in terms of what we can do for groceries.

Installing 3M Filters In a New Home

Last week our family moved into a new home and we're pretty happy about it.  We just got about done unpacking all of our stuff and we are getting ready to really settle in.  Among our supply of food and beverages for our initial stay in our new house are cartons of bottled water.  We decided to buy a few of these because no one here likes drinking tap water.  It makes sense for us to buy bottled water right?  It does, but wow it was an extra expense I wish we did not have to take.  After talking it over with the rest of the family we decided on getting a 3M filter for our tap water system.

Our previous place had a 3M filter as well but it was old so we decided to just leave it there when we moved out.  Since that filter worked so well for us, why not get another one just like it for our new home?  This filter reduces the presence of unwanted sediment down to 5 microns and can last up to a year or 100,000 gallons of use.  Its cartridge is easy to install so there is no having to perform complicated tasks just to drink clean water.

If you want a a way to drink clean, refreshing water from your own tap system this is the way to do it.

Using an Oasis Water Cooler In the Office

I am sure you have seen the stereotypical image of one or two guys talking it up at the office water cooler.  One of them is standing upright while the other is casually leaning on the water cooler.  Well, our office is absolutely not like that.  We did not have a standing water cooler when we first moved into this office space.  But, now some months later, we actually have an Oasis water cooler at our disposal.

First of all, every office needs a water cooler of some sort.  It is pretty much a requirement much like a bathroom or a coffeemaker.  So, I am very glad we have one now.  This Oasis water cooler is pretty nifty because it also doubles as a small fridge.  This latter is particularly useful because the big one we have that the entire office uses needs some cleaning out and we could use the extra space.

The water cooler runs cold and hot water and the fridge attachment has a .7 cubic foot capacity and can hold up to 36 beverage cans.  It is Energy Star rated so you will cut energy costs with this water cooler.

If you are looking to purchase a brand new water cooler I recommend this one.

Simplifying Water With Max Pro

Living a simple, enjoyable life should not be that hard.  It should not have to be stressful to do that.  But it is an unfortunate part of life and we do our best to make sure we are not stressed out all the time.  And one of the things that people should not have to stress about is having access to clean, enjoyable water.  One of the things that people should not have to stress about is having access to clean, enjoyable water.  And, you should not have to spend a lot of money on it on a weekly basis by buying loads of bottled water either.  What you should get is a Max Pro water filter for your system.

Having a Max Pro water filter attached to the tap water system of your house will give you access to much better quality water than what you would normally get from the typical tap system.  This neat filtration system comes complete with copper fittings and tubing that will allow it to fit on almost any home's tap water system.  This particular filter is listed as Class 3 NSF and taste, odor, and chlorine reduction.  I have yet to meet anyone who actually enjoys the taste and odor chlorine so this is truly something beneficial to have if you drink water on a normal, daily basis.

Aqua Pure Filters For Better Water

Good-tasting, refreshing water is hard to find.  In some cases, you would have to go out of your way to buy jugs or bottles filled with water in order to get something close.  Even with these options, you are not really sure where they actually bottle the water from.  They say they get their water from protected sources like aquifers but we all have heard differing theories.  And to be quite frank, some of those theories are sure to make any person's stomach turnover.  Some have even said that they simply turn on a tap, fill their bottles under it, and ship it to consumers to buy.  This is extremely distressing because what was the point of taking the time and spend extra money on bottled water when all we had to do was turn on our own faucets?

This is why Aqua Pure filters are a great option.  They serve the dual purpose of providing you with crisp, clean water without having to pay a weekly or bi-weekly premium for bottled water.  All you have to do is install an Aqua Pure filter onto your faucet's system and you will be enjoying great-tasting water for a long time to come.

Oasis Water Dispenser As a Housewarming Gift

My family moved into a new house this past weekend.  We did the whole unpacking and getting situated bit and we are pretty much done will all that.  I think it is about time we relax.  My lovely wife wants to have a housewarming party and I am fully on board.  She has already invited about a dozen friends of ours and many of them are bringing gifts.  My wife and I, of course, said they did not have to but that is what friends are for.

Then an idea came to mind: how about I get us a housewarming present of our own.  Something practical that we would all find use for on a daily basis.  It actually was not that hard to think of one: an Oasis water dispenser.  We had a small water dispenser in our old place but decided to give it over to a neighbor because we did not really want it anymore; we were thinking of getting something bigger and better and the Oasis water dispenser looked like it fit the bill perfectly.

I am hoping the water dispenser will come in by the end of the week so I can install it and wow our guests.  The cool thing is, it has a small fridge attached to it!

Staying Refreshed With Max Pro

Max Pro has helped me maintain my habit of drinking water on a daily basis.  I do not drink coffee, energy drinks, or any kind of soda.  I only really drink water.  On the rare occasion I buy bottled water - as part of a meal or something - once I finish its contents I reuse the bottle as often as I can.  Doing this allows me to maintain my habit of drinking water as well as helping the environment by lessening my carbon footprint and recycling in my own way.  I do this by simply going to my kitchen sink, turning on the tap, and filling the bottle with water that has been filtered using Max Pro.

Part of the reason I use a filtration system is because I can barely stand the taste of normal, every day tap water.  I just cannot bare to drink it.  I mean, if I really had to I could but the strong taste of chlorine is something that does not sit well with me.  Ask me to do it on a daily basis and I would be unable to.

If you are like me and want to drink only water every day, using a filtration system is the best option to do that with.

Musing On An Oasis Water Cooler

"Hey man, what is going on?"

"Nothing much except it looks like our old water cooler is busted."

"That is not good. You have any idea what is wrong with it?"

"Nope. Not at all."

"Is there any way to fix it?"

"I have no idea how to fix it; in fact I do not think any one else here has any idea either."

"So what now?"

"The boss wants to get a new Oasis water cooler for the office."

"Sounds fancy."

"It is. As a matter of fact, the boss wants us to get two."

"Wow, he is really going all out."

"Yeah. The Oasis water cooler will dispense cold water as well as hot water that can be used for tea or coffee."

"True enough."

"Also, the Oasis cooler has a built-in refrigerator attached to it. It has 0.7 cubic feet capacity and can hold up 36 cans of whatever beverages we want. Obviously we can also use it to store everybody's lunches; that is part of the reason why the boss wants to get two for the office."

"That makes sense. Besides, the big office fridge we got is almost always full."

"I agree.  Speaking of which, that fridge needs to be cleaned out by the end of the day..."

"Not it!"

Hydrating With An Oasis Water Dispenser

Five days a week I go to the gym.  It is something I enjoy doing and find it hard to skip even one day.  That said, if for whatever reason I have to skip a day I always make up for it on another day.  Naturally durign the course of a workout I have to keep myself hydrated and the best way to do that is by using the gym's Oasis water dispenser, which they have installed next to the men and women's locker rooms.  While I sometimes bring my own water from my house, using their water dispenser is convenient.

As veteran gym participants know, you have to keep yourself hydrated so as to not hurt yourself while working out.  The last thing you want to have happen is to be so dehydrated that you black out.  And the worse thing that could happen would be to pass out around heavy weights and equipment.  If a person does not bring their own water or liquids from home, they have the Oasis water dispenser to ensure they do not find themselves without water and at risk of getting severely hurt.

I am thankful that water dispensers are common in gyms as much as medicine balls are; if not, we would have a whole slew of problems.

Refreshing Myself with 3m Water

As I write this I have a bottle of 3m water filtered through the tap from my kitchen sink.  I took a a second to grab a couple swigs of crisp, clean water from the water bottle and continue to write.  There is something about the cold taste of water that I love; I have no doubts that I am not the only one who feels this way.  I honestly do not know if there is anything like what clean, cool water tastes like.

Besides, drinking water is good for you.  Water not only keeps people hydrated, it also cleanses the stomach and body of harmful substances that we do not want to linger in our system for long.  3m filters help people by giving them access to fresh, filtered water from the comforts of their own homes.  Since the water that comes out of the filtration systems tastes great, you are going to be drinking more of it everyday.  It will also allow you to fill your own bottles at home and carry them back and forth between work and home without having to rely on buying packs of bottled water.

What better way to refresh yourself than with water that is not only good for you but tastes splendid as well.
